Background Info

Horseshoe Cove is part of a salt marsh located on Sandy Hook, NJ.  The cove is located at latitude – longitude coordinates of N 40.44316 and W – 73.99681.  At high tide the water is approximately 3-4 feet deep in the center of the water way that is fed from the northern marsh area.  In order to walk on water each group has to build an apparatus so it's possible to walk on the surface.  It is impossible for a human to walk on water because we cannot move our feet fast enough because we are too slow and break the surface tension of the water. If we could slap the water fast enough, without breaking the surface tension, we would be able to skim across the water.
